How are Marketers using Gen AI tools?

How are marketers using Gen AI tools?

I can’t answer for every Marketer, but I can share how I’ve dabbled with Gen AI throughout 2023 and into 2024 - for my Maisey Marketing and A Measure of Marketing.

I was invited by my client Quantum Rise to join them on their AI-led podcast show “AI for the Average Joe” to discuss my experiences of using tools such as Chat GPT, Gamma, DALL-E and Canva Magic Studio.

Quantum Rise’s Co-Founders Erica Farmer and Hayley Bird are leading the way in Learning & Development (L&D) when it comes to AI. They’re encouraging and empowering organisations, through their forward-thinking training, to dip their toe into using AI tools from a strategic and practical perspective for personal and professional use - from training design to creating learning objectives, producing PowerPoint decks to generating imagery; they’re ahead of the game.

But for Marketers, including me, there’s a natural tension with Gen AI when it comes to creating content, of any kind. Our profession moulds us to lead with authenticity for the benefit of building the best relationships with our customers - and the need to produce messaging and materials that are bespoke to the brands we represent.

Use of Gen AI tools and Marketing

I offer an honest and open view of my journey with Gen AI and its impact on my values, ethics and integrity when working with clients. I also provide practical advice and takeaways for small businesses who want to utilise ChatGPT to support their marketing activity, starting with the all-important “why” when it comes to prompting to get the best outputs:
