Marketing upskilling and coaching for small business teams

Four people sat around a board room learning how to use a social media monitoring site that is broadcast onto a plasma screen on the wall (to represent marketing upskilling)

As your business grows, so does the need to develop the people within it. Whether you’ve brought in new hires, reshuffled existing roles or need to build capability within your team, I can help identify where marketing skills can be developed – and provide bespoke support to help your staff grow.

Most small businesses don’t have the luxury of large L&D budgets or in-house marketing leads. And so I offer a practical, informal approach to upskilling that’s built around your goals and the support your team needs.

This might mean running focused sessions on marketing fundamentals, content planning, campaign delivery or channel-specific skills like email marketing or social media. In some cases, I help team members get to grips with the systems, tools and processes they need to do the job more confidently. In others, it’s about helping experienced staff shift from tactical doers to more strategic thinkers.

Sessions can be one-to-one or delivered in small group settings. I always work with you beforehand to define the learning goals and ensure the time spent is useful, relevant and immediately applicable.

Clients often use this service alongside longer-term consultancy or marketing leadership support. It’s a great way to build internal knowledge and reduce dependency on outsourced delivery over time.

Whether you're looking to upskill junior marketers, build confidence in other roles that integrate with marketing (such as admin, business development or customer service), or just want to ensure your team is aligned with your marketing strategy, I can provide the training, coaching and upskilling needed to move things forward.
