Bringing structure to your marketing

BRINGING STRUCTURE TO YOUR MARKETING

Do you struggle to effectively structure your marketing efforts?

You know how great your services/product is but don’t find yourself shouting about it in a structured way.

In my experience, there are a few reasons for this:

  • Resources and time are a big factor. You have limited budget, hours and staff to dedicate to your marketing. You prioritise business development in isolation to marketing and other aspects of your operations, in turn neglecting the development of a marketing plan to build long-term brand awareness.

  • There’s a limited understanding around your target audience. Effective marketing requires a deep understanding of what your audience is thinking, their pain points, their challenges. Without this understanding it is tough to create tailored marketing campaigns that resonate.

  • More so, you don’t have extensive marketing knowledge or experience. You naturally focus primarily on your core competencies related to your product/services and don’t have the necessary expertise to create and implement a structured marketing plan.

Why is structure important when it comes to Marketing?

Without a structured approach you’ll confuse your audience by marketing sporadically. You’ll also work in isolation of your business objectives so you won’t generate long term success - whatever that looks like to your business.

This is where marketing consultancy can provide help and support.

Small businesses come to me needing direction as they don’t have the time, resources and/or expertise to design a structured approach to marketing their service/product.

Without doubt, one of the most rewarding parts of my role is collaborating with a new client, creating a marketing strategy for their business and then translating that strategy into a top-level plan (“roadmap”).

Creating a top-level marketing roadmap

I take your business goals and the marketing objectives we’ve agreed on to design a roadmap of strategic activity over a 12-18 month period. I utilise your milestones and marketing strategies (previously outlined in your strategy), together with insight into your target audience and their needs, to create a top-level series of campaigns and activity. I also include any and all internal work needed to support your marketing efforts - from upskilling and driving employee engagement to increasing personal brand awareness.

The roadmap gives you and your team direction and a clear and structured approach to your marketing activity that in turn resonates with your target audience in line with their needs.
